Weekend Fun

I can't belive the weekend is already over. We only had Andrew this weekend and it's always so much fun to have one kid alone. It rarely happens so when it does it's a true treat.

Friday night we did the same ole Friday night routine. Ordered pizza. We lit a fire and ate pizza with Unc in the living room just chit chatting.

Saturday we got up bright and early. Not only because Andrew is our personal alarm clock who gets us up no later than 0630 every morning but also because Michael was taking me to the 1000 movies to see Twilight. I loved it. I know it's had mixed reviews but to me it was just a really good movie. I want to see it again so I can actually 'see' it this time. I was mesmerized the first time! ~Sigh~ Then we went to Floyd's Cajun to eat lunch. It was wonderful. Fried alligator, the best boudan I'd ever had and gumbo. Couldn't ask for a better lunch... except if it's crawfish season of course.

My parents watched Andrew for us while we were at the movies so we went to get him and hung out over there for a while. My Mom is making us all new 'personalized' stockings this year so I checked those out while Michael snoozed. Then we took Andrew to get a haircut. He did soo good again. Poor guy was soo tired and I think the buzzing of the clippers was lulling him to sleep. It was adorable. He looks like such a big boy now! I of course took some pics which I'll post below. I gave him a baby Mohawk which Daddy wasn't too crazy about! Andrew also doned my pink boxing gloves and was soo hilarious trying to 'fight' with them on.

Sunday was good. Michael, Andrew and I went to breakfast together at Denny's. Another first. First time we went to breakfast with just the 3 of us and first time Andrew sat in a booster. He did pretty good. He had his own breakfast too which he gobbled up! Then it was home to chop and split more wood which we did for about 3 1/2 hours. Exciting times around our house I tell ya!

All in all we had a really nice weekend. I can't wait for Raegann to come home tomorrow! We're doing Thanksgiving at our house again this year which I love. Michael is frying a turkey and Mom is coming over to cook.

Now here are the pics. You can click on each one to make them bigger.

It's official... my baby is growing up too fast

I just went on my lunch break and enrolled him in preschool. He'll be going to Star Montessori starting January 12, 2009! He turns 18 months on January 7th and begins the next week. It's a bitter sweet moment. I've been unbelievably blessed to have such an amazing person keeping him since he was 10 weeks. She's worked with me side by side to help me raise him the way I wanted. She's loved and nurtured him more than I could ever ask. So for that it's a very bitter moment. But now he get's to experience the social setting of being with other's his age. He gets to blossom into his toddler hood and really begin to start the learning process. For that it's sweet.

I'm already a bundle of emotions. Imgaine how bad this is going to be on January 12th!

Twilight

Who's going? When? If you've already seen it, don't spoil it!

Michael is taking me to the Saturday matinee and I'm soo excited. I saw a few reviews for the crazies who did the midnight showing! Most were great reviews!!

Can't wait!!

Dr. Visit

I just got back from the dr. My right foot has really been bothering me for over a month. I thought it was because I wear pretty high heals every day to work. So, I've stopped wearing heals. No help. I started wearing the most comfy granny-ish type shoe's ever and still no help. So, I finally broke down and went to the dr. Did xrays and no breaks/fractures so that's good. But, they did find a tumor. I have to wait for the insurance to call back so I can get an MRI set up. From there I'll know more.

So.. I'll keep ya updated.

Battery deal at CVS

Got this from a friend and thought I'd pass it on. Not sure how long it lasts.

"I went to CVS last night and got a ton of batteries CHEAP. If you buy $20 worth of Durcell batteries you get $15 gift card, if you use CVS card. Then I just bought $15 more and over again. I think you can do it 3 times. Santa is gonna love me!

Oh yeah, be careful because the 4 packs are $5.49 but the 8 packs are on sale for $5.99 so for .50 you get 4 more batteries. I noticed this on the A, AAA, and D's."

The weekend in review

We have had a really good weekend so far!

Friday night we all just kind of hung out around the house.

Saturday we had to go clean out the lots of land we own. We got a letter from the city saying we were in violation of the city ordiance so we had to get that done. Then it was a mad rush getting home to get cleaned up and the house picked up. I had 2 girlfriends come over to hang out. I made chili and we had a few appetizers and dessert. We also went through a couple bottles of wine. It was a great time though! Michael built us a fire. The kids roasted marshmallows in the fire place while us girls ate dinner then we retired to the living room to enjoy it ourselves while the kids went to bed. Good time had by all!

Today has been so much fun. We had a family football game in the street. After I snapped a few pics I even went out and played! We've had some truly gorgeous weather this weekend so it was nice to get outside and goof off!

And to my dear friend Kimmie girl.. I haven't forgotten about my mission you've set up for me. I need to get a few free minutes with no kids so I can sit down and put some time into it! I do know I'm supposed to link to your blog.. so here ya go!

Update on the Kiddo's

Chandler is getting sooo big. He's in 5th grade and will be 12 next month! Time has gone by soo fast. This past weekend ended his first season playing football. Can I just brag and say how AWESOME he did this season!! He improved so much from game one! He's really found his niche in defense and he kicked some serious butt! He's also in choir this year at school and really seems to enjoy that as well!

Raegann is in first grade and is 6. She's doing wonderfully in school. She is in the gifted and talented program and she was just presented the Principals Pride award for the first 9 weeks of school! We are soo very proud of her. Her original elementary school was flooded from Hurricane Ike so she is temporarily going to another elementary in the district. She's done great with the transfer. She just got her haircut. Mama is was very upset. At the start of school she had it cut from waist to shoulders. She's been begging to have it shorter so I finally agreed. She now has chin legnth hair. I'm proud of her for making her own choices but sad none the less as the loss of her beautiful hair!

Then we have Andrew. Boy is he a mess. He's 16 months old now and still one of the happiest babies ever! He's running around everywhere and is really starting to talk more. He can say Mama, Dada, Raegann, Bubba, bite, all done, cat, dog and a few other things. He talks non stop but no one has been able to decifer Andrew-lish yet. He loves his dog Molly and all the cats. He loves giving kisses! He's a great sleeper too. He goes to bed around 6:30 ish pm and wakes around 6-6:30 ish am. He set his own schedule and we're fine with it! We plan on starting him im preschool in January.

Michael and I are doing great. Busy as always trying to juggle all the schedule's. Michael is still travelling like crazy and I've recently joined a Bunco group, cooking club and a reading club. Busy but extremely fun! We just celebrated our 2 year anniversary last month! We still have Unc living with us and it's really been a good time having him here. The kids are loving having him here and don't want him to move!

Our first time

So, I've come to the conclusion that I need to minimalize as much as possible to be able to enjoy my day to day life in the moment. Because of this I've decided to create a blog of our family so all our extended family and friends will be able to keep up to date and I'll be able to update in just one place.

I've never done this before so bare with me as we learn to blog the Clark family life together!

Lots of love,
SCRAM
